One of the best parts about our area is all the beautiful nature that surrounds it. Here are some of our favorite trails.
Flying to Minnesota? Minnesota’s Sweet Spot is just 16 miles away from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Let us help you get here!
The following car rental companies offer on-airport service at MSP Airport: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, Sixt and Thrifty. Ace Rent A Car operates off-airport. All on-airport rental car companies have counters at both terminals (although some counters at Terminal 2 are temporarily closed) and rental cars may be returned to either terminal.
If you are at Terminal 1 and plan to use Uber, Lyft or a similar app-based ride service, your ride will pick you up on Level 2 of the Green Parking Ramp, above the Ground Transport Center. Simply follow the signs. At Terminal 2, pick up is available from the Ground Transport Center on the ground level of the Purple parking ramp.
The Minneapolis – St. Paul area has an easy-to-use public transit system. To reach St. Louis Park and Golden Valley, you will first want to use the light rail transit (LRT) train system, then transfer to our bus system.
The Terminal 1 LRT station is located below the Red, Blue and Silver parking ramps. From the Tram Level (one level below bag claim), take the tram to the Red, Blue and Silver parking ramps, When you exit the tram, follow the signs to the light rail station.
The Terminal 2 station is located on the north side of the Orange Ramp. From Level 1, near Ticketing, take the elevator or escalator up to the Orange Ramp skyway. Follow the signs to the station. You will then need to go down one level to the station platform.
Light rail runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Trains run every 10 minutes during peak hours and typically every 10-15 minutes at other times of the day. The stations are fully accessible.
Take the Blue Line heading to Mpls-Target Field. Once in Minneapolis, you will transfer to a Metro Transit bus (or buses) to reach your desired destination. To plan your exact route, visit www.metrotransit.org. They have a handy trip planner right on their home page.
Sample Trip: MSP Airport Terminal 1 to The Shops at West End in St. Louis Park: Take the Blue Line to Franklin Ave Station. Take the elevator/stairs at the front of the train down to street level. Then take Route 9N (Bryn Mawr/West End/Greenbrier) and arrive at Park Place Blvd & 16th St. W, stop #2970. Cost: $2 regular fare, $1 reduced fair.
Starting in 2023, visitors will be able to take the LRT system all the way into St. Louis Park and to points further west.
