Join us on the shortest day of the year to remember that many in our community aren’t able “to see the light” because of struggles with mental illness or difficult situations. Follow the luminary walk through the forest guided by visual messages from the community. Discover artist created lantern sculptures expressing the peace of wild things. Light a candle in honor or memory of someone who struggles with or struggled with mental health. Gather around a fire in the glowing winter light while surrounded by a dreamy winter soundscape. To share the light, create a luminary with your own message to take home and light your neighborhood. The artist portions of this program are supported by a 2022 Arts & Culture Grant awarded to Semilla Center for Healing and Arts. The event is for all ages.
This is a free event, but registration is required. Registration will end when the program is full.
