If you have little boys and ghouls, you won’t want to miss the 38th annual Halloween Party at The Rec Center! Held October 18th and 19th, this event combines the Westwood Halloween Party with the Little Goblin Bash. Wear your costumes and enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Trick or treat with friendly animal characters on Mother Nature’s Trail and boo-gie down to tunes from DJ Bob. Play carnival games, enjoy a puppet show, and have some refreshments. Advance registration is required.
For the aspiring zombie figure skater or hockey player, head over to Goblins on Ice at the Rec Center on October 25. Enjoy two free sessions of indoor ice skating. Free rental skates will be available and costumes are encouraged.
It’s the Great Pumpkin Festival at The Shops at West End on October 26 from 10 a.m. – 1 pm. Trick or treat from store to store and enjoy a bounce house, balloon artist, games and more.
For more free family fun, head to The Shoppes at Knollwood on October 26 from 2 – 4 p.m. Trick or treat, get a free pumpkin, and jam with the Teddy Bear Band.
For a Halloween party that’s sure to bowl you over, spare some time for The Park Tavern’s “Stranger Things” event on October 26. Cosmic bowling, karaoke, costume contests, music by DJ Phat, and complimentary pizza buffet! This event is ages 21+.
Thursdays are family movie night at The ROC. On October 3, come dressed in your favorite super hero costume, sit under the stars (or manufactured roof) and watch The Incredibles 2! Free popcorn and limited concessions will be available.
Celebrate the talent and artistry of independent filmmakers at the 10th Annual Twin Cities Film Fest (TCFF). From October 16-26, over 120 films will be screened, from shorts to documentaries to feature films. Come walk the red carpet and experience a taste of Hollywood. A variety of ticket options are available.
