If you’ve always wanted to learn how to snowboard, or just want to brush up on your skills, you’ll want to head to the Snowboarding Hill at Theodore Wirth Regional Park in Golden Valley. Conveniently located, it offers an affordable and friendly environment for learning to shred.

Stop at The Trailhead to purchase your lift ticket or get outfitted with rental equipment.

The Hill is typically open Fridays from 4 – 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am – 8 pm. There may be times when the hill is closed due to cold temperatures, wind chill or icy conditions. For the latest info, call 612-355-7757.

After a day of learning to grind and ride switch, be sure to grab a bison burger, grain bowl or Belgian waffles with chocolate and cream at Mill Valley Market, the Trailhead restaurant. With specialty coffee drinks, plus beer and wine offerings, the Market is the perfect spot for hanging out with friends.
