Skateboarding has been around since the late 40s/early 50s and has become even more popular than ever. Although you can’t catch big waves here, you can catch some big air! Riders looking to grind will love our two skateparks!

3rd Lair SkatePark & SkateShop

For year-round riding, 3rd Lair has it all! In business for over 20 years, they are simply the best indoor skateboarding park in the Twin Cities. They feature a 25,000 sq. ft. skatepark, plus a fully stocked skateshop. They offer multiple open riding sessions throughout the week, as well as classes and camps. Skateboards, pads, and helmets are available to rent or buy.

Birthday Parties & Events

The entire skatepark is available for private rentals. Birthday party packages include free rental gear and 2 hours of private skating – perfect for groups of up to 10 or 20 (or more) kids – plus, parents ride free!

Carpenter Park Skate Park

Nice day for a ride? Head to Carpenter Park, home to a 6,500 sq. ft., all-concrete outdoor skatepark. It is designed with stairs, rails, a mini half-pipe and more to replicate a plaza-style skatepark. The skate park is open from 9 am to dusk, seasonally, and is free for all riders.
