Nestled between Excelsior & Grand and The Rec Center you’ll find Wolfe Park, one of the largest neighborhood parks in St. Louis Park. Kids will delight in the large Biba Smart Playground, an interactive play structure that utilizes a free phone app to encourage play. Adults will enjoy the walking trails and fishing pond, which is stocked with bluegill, black crappie, largemouth bass, northern pike and yellow perch.

Playground, Trails & Fishing

Sport Courts

The park is home to a basketball court, sand volleyball court and five pickleball courts. Courts may be rented for a fee, April – October. Call 952-924-2540 to check availability and complete the outdoor athletic facility rental application. View the court rental page for more details.

Picnic Shelters

The park is also the perfect spot for a picnic lunch. There are outdoor grills, picnic tables and two picnic shelters. The Main Shelter holds up to 100 people, while the East Shelter can hold 35. Both shelters may be reserved in advance. For events year-round, the Wolfe Park Building can accommodate up to 30 guests. The pavilion includes tables and chairs, AC, an indoor fireplace, restrooms and free WiFi.

Veterans’ Memorial Amphitheater

Terraced into the hill on the south side of Wolfe Park is the Veterans’ Memorial Amphitheater. Its eight terraced tiers offer seating for 200 people. The amphitheater is home to many live music concerts and open mic nights during the summer months. When not in use by public events, the space may be rented for weddings and other private gatherings from 8 am – 10 pm daily. Those looking for the Veterans’ Memorial rock will find it near the Veteran’s Memorial wall area.
