The Minnehaha Creek Preserve is the jewel of the Minnehaha Creek Greenway. This 1.5-mile stretch, which flows through St. Louis Park and is part of a larger 22-mile long system, has been recently restored, enhancing the wildlife habitat, restoring wetlands and adding new trails, including over a mile of ADA accessible boardwalk. You’ll find a canoe and kayak launch at Creekside Park, as well as place to picnic and plenty of free parking. As you paddle along, you’re sure to spot a variety of wildlife, including wood ducks, herons, turtles and deer. But be sure to check the Minnehaha Creek flow before putting in!
